John Hall is an entrepreneur and professional manager with over 20 years of experience in financial services and an additional 20 years in business strategy. He has founded, acquired, or managed six private companies, including five years as Regional President or CEO of community banks and ten years as Managing Partner of a venture capital fund. He has served on the boards of over 20 private and non-profit organizations. His accomplishments include the successful turn-around of three troubled companies – including a NASDAQ-listed bank with Total Assets exceeding $180 million. He served on the strategic acquisition team for successful acquisitions valued at over $300 million and has managed multi-disciplinary companies ranging in size from 2 to 115 employees.
For over five years, he headed Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses at Miami Dade College (10KSB), an accelerator that helps small businesses to grow, scale and access debt and equity capital. Hall screened over 2500 candidates and oversaw the graduation of over 430 small business owners from the prestigious program, representing more than 8000 employees and over $780M million in revenues.
Hall served as a mentor for at-risk youth and raised over $30,000 for the Executives of Tomorrow scholarship fund for at-risk high school youth seeking careers in entrepreneurship.
Hall earned a B.A. in Accounting from Howard University and a MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
